Blackstars fine display and game management helped them grab all three points against Zimbabwe away in World Cup Group G qualifiers at Harare National Stadium.
Both teams started really well with some brilliant displays from both sides.
The away side started on a bright note by posing lots of threats upfront. Kamaldeen caused a lot of brilliant situations on the left wing but wasted all chances.
Zimbabwe slowly grow into the game as the swing to their side to dominant in some minutes.
Kudus Mohammed was brought down on the edge of the 18-yard box which Thomas Partey converted it into the net to break the deadlock.
The Zimbabweans tried couple of times to rescue themselves but could not as Ghana maintained their lead to end the half.
The home side brought different energy into the game in heated to get back on level terms. There were moments where they could have done that especially when Capt Knowledge’s brilliant freekick was palmed by Ghana’s keeper.
Star player Khama Billiat posed some dangerous attack on some occasions to but Ghana we solid to thwart all his efforts.
On the 75 minutes Kudus’s effort hit the woodwork after a smooth one-two passes with Jordan Ayew that could have nearly doubled the lead for the away side.
With five more minutes to end the game, Zimbabwe came in full force trying to least get a point but Ghana introduction of Kyere, Dede Ayew and Samuel Owusu helped to manage the game til full 90minutes.
Ghana are now second with in Group G with nine points after South Africa who beat Ethiopia 1-0 to maintain the lead.
Ghana will now play Ethiopia at away before South Africa at home.
