The baby daddy of embattled Ghanaian actress and video vixen Akuapem Poloo, Rashid Yakubu has told his side of the story on what led to his failed relationship with the actress.
According to Rashid, he was given a tall list and expensive dowry by Poloo’s family when he made known his intentions to marry the actress. Unfortunately, he couldn’t afford it and so abandoned his plans of tying the knot.
He added that at the time, things weren’t so good for him as he faced financial difficulties in his business as a boutique owner.
After Poloo’s delivery, he said they both grew apart and the relationship ended without either of them hurting the other adding that the actress kept him away from his son making it hard for him to see him often.
Rashid mentioned that their son lived with his mother until he was about two years old when Poloo came for him under the guise of spending time some quality time with her boy.
Yakubu disclosed this in his interview with ace broadcaster Abeiku Aggery Santana on Okay FM last Friday when he explained that he hasn’t been as irresponsible as its being portrayed but has contributed to the upkeep of the child even though Poloo took him away under odd circumstances.
Speaking about their son, he debunked reports that he absent in his life. “She (Akuapem Poloo) has done well, I will thank her because she has supported that side but my problem is she paints me as if I am not there,” he stated.
”It is as if I don’t see the boy or don’t do anything for the boy. But I am there, the boy sees me all the time, I have pictures and video with him so I don’t know the reason why she is doing so”. – he continued.
“I asked her team or mum but they tell me they don’t know where they have sent her, I call one of her guys but he doesn’t answer. I was with the mum and she spoke with her but she didn’t even tell her I was with her, so I don’t want to involve her,” he concluded.
The appearance of Akuapem Poloo’s baby daddy Rashid Yakubu comes after the release of the actress from Nsawam Female Prison days ago after meeting her bail conditions.
