Renowned Black Stars footballer, Dede Ayew, has also come out to descend on his fellow renowned football star, Michael Essien, for supporting the LGBTQ+ community.
Not long ago, Michael Essien took to his social media platform to write that he supports the movement all the way.
However, his post did not win him a lot of praises from Ghanaians as many have stood against the legalization of the LGBTQ+.
The footballer earned himself lots of backlash and his followers on his various social media platforms reduced drastically.
Now his fellow football star, Dede Ayew, has come out to express his disappointment in Michael Essien for supporting the LGBTQ+.
According to him, man and man, as well as woman and woman, cannot do what is meant for opposite s*x to do. He took to his social media platform to write, “They should remember that we got many rights but not all are good to practice and in this world positive match negative to produce something so if negative can’t match negative why supporting”.
A number of celebrities like Idris Elba, Naomi Campbell, Borris Kudjoe, and others have come out to stand behind the LGBTQ+.
These celebrities have signed a letter to ask the president of Ghana, Nana Akufo Addo, to allow the members of the LGBTQ+ to have their rights in Ghana.
Earlier today, March 3, 2021, the Ghanaian musician, Shatta Wale, also came out to blast Michael Essien for supporting the LGBTQ+.
According to him, it is not wise for a man to leave a woman to go and sleep around with a fellow man. In a post, he wrote, “3tw3 d3d33d3 sei, Ghanaians go insult u paa”.
Meanwhile, the likes of Captain Smart and his crew have come out to vow that they would fight against the LGBTQ+ with all their strength.
