Founder and Head Pastor of the Glorious Way Church, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah has added his voice to ongoing public discourse on Gay and homos3xual rights in the country.
Making a case against the appalling practice, Rev, Owusu Bempah has announced that even though Almighty God was all-forgiving, Homos3xuality is highly detestable in the sight of God, one that He will not forgive.
The past few days have seen public discourse being centered on Gay and Homos3xual rights in the country.
This came up after a group believed to champion the LGBTQI rights advocacy set up an office space in Accra, to address concerns of Lesbians, Gays, Bis3xuals, Transgender, Queer and Inters3x persons and advocate for their rights in the country.
Expressing his distaste for such activities, Prophet Bempah noted that ‘of all the sins in the world, homos3xuality is the greatest and persons who are into the act hardly find favour in the eyes o the Lord.’
He alluded the growing situation in the country to the Biblical narrative of Sodom and Gomorrah, where God destroyed the two cities for engaging in such distasteful acts. He said ‘this is a sin against generations and an abomination in the eyes of God.
As a country, we will not allow this sin to engulf the country as we are a religious country.”
In reaction to this, the Executive Director of LGBTQI Rights Ghana, Alex Kofi Donkor has accused religious groups in the country of being selective with home they show love and sympathy to.
He pointed accusing fingers to groups like the Catholic Bishops Conference for going contrary to Biblical narrative to show and compassion to all and sundry.
The Catholic Bishop Conference is among the few religious group that have vehemently spoken against the practice and legalization for LGBTQI activities in the country.
