The former Member of Parliament for the Ablekuma Central Constituency, Theophilus Tetteh Chaie has lamented the gradual rise in s3x tourism among the coastal communities in the country.
He explained that the phenomenon, according to his sources, is being perpetuated by some unscrupulous foreigners who have staged camp in some of the cities along the coastal belt of the country.
S3x tourism is a planned journey for the sake of s3xual activities, often with prostitutes.
He noted that some foreigners troop into the coastal communities particularly in Accra, Takoradi, and Cape Coast under the pretense of vacation only to engage in s3x tourism.
The former MP Theophilus Tetteh Chaie, who made this revelation in an interview with the host of Atinka FM’s AM Drive, Kaakyire Ofori Ayim, explained that this s3xual exploitation which has been left unattended over the years paved way for the invasion of Lesbian, Gay, Bis3xuality, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ+) into the country.
According to Theophilus Tetteh Chaie, we see these foreigners at our beaches and more often than not we assume they are there for sightseeing.
Making a case for himself, he argued that Westerners have been exploiting Africans on s3x and that it is high time African leaders acted.
“ Most of the Westerners who come to Ghana for holidays come to experiment with s3x with our Ghanaian youth.
‘These amorous relationships start with the exchange of gifts and when the relationship gain ground, they come by way of vacation and just come and have fun with our men and women.
‘This is very prevalent in the coastal communities in Ghana,” he added.
