The Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has reacted after a photo and video of her sitting on the Member of Parliament for Juaboso Consistency Kwabena Mintah Akandoh.

The drama at the chamber of Parliament house during the dissolution of the 7th Parliament yesterday has got all of the people talking and asking questions.

Members of the opposition National Democratic Congress arrived at the Parliament House 25 mins before the members of the ruling New Patriotic Party and decided to hijack the majority side of the chamber.

This led to chaos with some MPs like Ursula Owusu-Ekuful refusing to give up her seat and sat on the laps of Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh.

Taking to social media, Hon. Ursula posted a picture which was a contrast to her demeanor earlier in the night when she fought with the Member of Parliament for Asutifi South with the caption; “We shall be tenacious and they will gawk”.

But explaining what transpired, the Member of Parliament for Juaboso, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh narrated his side of the story.

“When the NPP MPs came in, they saw that we were on the right side so they went to the left but Ursula refused.

‘Cletus Avoka was sitting down and decided to go to the washroom, by the time he came back Ursula had taken his seat.

‘We tried to persuade her but she declined. She also left the seat and I sat on it. When she came she just sat on my lap.

‘She didn’t say anything to me, she just sat and I didn’t say anything”, he mentioned.
