Asante Kotoko have parted ways with headcoach Maxwell Konadu after their losing to Great Olympics.
The Porcupine Warriors succumbed to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Great Olympics courtesy a sublime header from Micheal Yeboah, as Kotoko suffered their first defeat of the season.
Kotoko have now appointed Coach Johnson Smith to be the interim headcoach.
A statement from the club’s social media handle says:
‘Management of Asante Kotoko Sporting Club wishes to inform the general public that it has decided to part ways with Coach Maxwell Konadu as its Head Coach with immediate effect.
‘Coach Johnson Smith has been appointed to lead the team in the interim.’
Kotoko are placed 10th on the league log with five points from four games and have one outstanding fixture against Medeama FC scheduled for December 27, 2020.
Kotoko would come up against Dreams FC this Sunday in a match-day six encounter slated for the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu.
