VIDEO: One Person Gunned Down In Ablekuma Central

One person has reportedly been shot at Ablekuma Central.

According to reports, the shooting comes after a misunderstanding between members of the National Democratic Congress and the ruling New Patriotic Party.

It was alleged that the parliamentary candidates for the New Patriotic Party have decided not to accept the outcome of the elections for his constituency.

However, the results have not been official declared but the party sympathizers for the National Democratic Congress are alleging that their candidate has won the seat.

Following this, the sympathizers have been protesting seriously making it unsafe to be in the constituency.

During the protest, a gunshot was fired and hit a man in the stomach.

He was immediately rushed to the Cocoa Clinic in the area.

However, that did not even end the protest.

A video circulating online showed a man being rushed into a vehicle.

Meanwhile, a police officer on duty at one of the voting centers has reportedly died in the Ahafo Region.

According to reports, deceased, Detective Constable Kwarteng Abebrese Nantwi of the Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Headquarters Operations in Accra was out on Electoral duties in the Ahafo region when he suddenly died through the tragic development.

Eyewitnesses say the deceased had taken ill and was immediately rushed to the Hwidiem Government Hospital but was discharged shortly after treatment.

Unfortunately, he fell unconscious again while he was outperforming his normal duties at a designated polling center and suddenly fell unconscious.

He was however pronounced dead on arrival after he was taken to the hospital.

His body has since been deposited in the Hwidiem hospital morgue pending autopsy and further action.

In other news, Tension mounts at certain voting areas within the Odododiodooo constituency during the ongoing elections.

Reports say some voters at Gbese a community at Gamashie are currently engaging in a heated argument with some Ec officials overuse of a different indelible ink.
