Ghanaian actress and movie producer, Yvonne Nelson, has thrown some savage jabs at a fan who blamed her for being responsible for the current crisis that Ghanaians are going through.
According to the fan, it was Yvonne’s effort to bring NPP’s Akufo-Addo to the power that brought the current crisis Ghanaians are going through. Some years back, when John Mahama was in power under the NDC banner, power outages were frequent and many Ghanaians were finding it hard to conduct businesses.
The actress decided to conduct a campaign to make the government aware of what Ghanaians are going through in terms of the frequent power outages.
This era was what led to the name “dumsor” being used as a term for frequent power outages.
It wasn’t long before John Mahama was voted out of power and the Nana Akufo-Addo came to assume the mantle as Ghana’s president.
The NPP came out to claim that they fixed the “dumsor” problem since the frequent power outages went down during NPP’s period. However, the NDC came out to say that they were the ones responsible for fixing the problem.
A fan took to Twitter to blame Yvonne Nelson for being the one who rallied Ghanaians behind her to remove Mahama from power.
“@yvonnenelsongh is part of the reason why we suffering as citizens. She fought for Akuffo Addo to be voted in & now look as us suffering,” the fane wrote.
The fan went on to throw some jabs at Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie, with claims that the rapper lied to the public.
“As for @sarkodie judgment day we will question him for running from the truth & lying to the public”, the fan wrote.
Seeing this, Yvonne Nelson took to her page to reply to the fan saying, “ I understand you are dumb… let someone clever explain to you my dumsor campaign was for Ghanaians to get their lights back on, which President Mahama fixed and nothing else.”
