The entertainment industry in Ghana has been a home for some of the most talented and successful people to ever exist in Ghana.
These people have been an inspiration to lots of people and no one can forget the memories they made for Ghanaians near and wide.
Today, two celebrities in the movie industry will be discussed to see who tops the other in terms of success.
First on the list is Majid Michel. Majid is an actor who received nominations for Best Actor in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, and 2017. Eventually, he won the award in 2012. The actor entered the acting industry by auditioning for a modeling agency, Super Model Agency.
Later on, he starred in the series, “Things We Do for Love”, which led to his nickname, “Shaker”. He then starred in the movie, “Divine Love”, along with the famous actress, Jackie Agyemang, and Van Vicker. In 2008, Majid took a lead role in the movie, “Agony of Christ”, which received 7 nominations at the Africa Movie Academy Awards. It was then revealed that he is paid at least $15,000 for a role in a film.
He has been in movies such as “Crime to Christ”, “Heart of Men”, “Agony of Christ” and others.
Next on the list is Van Vicker. Van is also an actor who has received two nominations for “Best Actor in a Leading Role” and “Best Upcoming Actor” at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2008. Like Majid, he also attended Mfantsipim Senior High for his senior education. He started out as a presenter at Groove 106.3 FM and after working in a number of other radion stations, he then went to work as a TV personality for Metro TV from 2000-2004.
He then went to star in the movie, “Divine Love”, as a supporting character. He then debuted in roles along with Majid Michel and actress Jackie Appiah.
Taking a look at these two personalities and the rate of their success, one may think that either Majid Michel or Van Vicker is more successful.
