The substance of the matter has it that Pastor Babatunde, affectionately called Alfa, was arrested together with some seven other clergymen over the disappearance of a one-year boy at the Children’s Service of his church during church service.
The pastor and his subordinates were arrested charged for kidnapping and abetment of crime.
Delivering his judgment in the case, Justice Odusola said based on the evidence provided by the prosecution team, the clergyman and the five others were found guilty of two counts of kidnapping, and aiding and abetting to kidnap. He thereafter sentenced them to life imprisonment.
