Asante Kotoko Board Chairman, Dr Kwame Kyei has dissolved the management team of the club led by CEO George Amoako.
Accordingly, all members have been relieved of their positions after a meeting with Dr Kyei at the sports hotel after a meeting this afternoon.
It said the business mogul has asked the members involved to hand over their various offices to the club’s secretariat.
The old management members include CEO, George Amoako, General Manager, Nana Akwasi Gyambibi (Coker), PRO, Kennedy Boakye-Ansah, Accra Rep, Nana Kwame Danquah, Operations Manager, Isaac Donkor and Head of Medical Team, Twumasi Baah Jnr.
Dr. Kyei thanked them for their services to the club and wished them well in their future endeavours.
Meanwhile, Information picked up indicates that the board is set to change a lot of things at the club and staff at the secretariat have lost their jobs leaving only the accountant and his deputy.
With the new board not in favour of retaining George Amoako, they have pencilled down two football administrators to take the berth as the highest-ranking executive officer in the club.
Failed Ghana Football Association presidential aspirants George Afriyie and Nana Yaw Amponsah’s names have been jotted down as the duo are set to battle it out again for the CEO job.
Nana Yaw Amponsah, the 2019 Ghana FA Presidential elections losing candidate has already been touting his credentials to a faction of the new board members as he is directly going for the top job to maintain his relevance in high-level club management.
It is said, he was mentioned together with George Afriyie during yesterday’s inauguration of the Board of Directors as possible CEOs.
George Afriyie is believed to be leading the race for the top position at Kotoko as he has several admirers with the new Board.
