Use Music To Educate The Public On Coronavirus – Ursula Owusu Tells Musicians  

 

The Minister of Communication, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has urged artistes to join the fight against the novel coronavirus.

According to her, it would be helpful for Ghanaian artistes to educate and entertain people while a lockdown is in place.

She added that the lockdown presents is an opportunity for musicians to give back to society using their talent.

“Those are the skills, musicians also have to put smiles and hope on people’s faces”

Ursula’s  Comment comes  After a virtual concert organized to launch the GH COVID-19 Tracker app.

She thanked the musicians who made it to the launch to perform and entertain viewers at home.

“The feedback we got was that quite a number of people appreciated the performances and through that, they also learned a bit,” Ursula Owusu-Ekuful added.

Meanwhile, entertainers including CJ Biggerman, Naa Ashorkor, Clemento Suarez and some others have released songs or skits to educate the public on the virus.
