An Indian Couple who wants to Remember Coronavirus issues till their last breath has named their newborn son ‘Lockdown’.
The child was born to Proud parents, Manju Mail and Raghunath Bacheri village in the Sheopur district of central India.
When the staff at the hospital asked the couple what name should be written on the birth certificate, they said ‘Lockdown.’
“He is Lockdown, as he was born during the lockdown period,” Manju the mother, said;
“My son and our family will remember this time of crisis throughout our life. It is a significant name.
“The whole world is using the lockdown as a means to steam this pandemic. We should not take Lockdown lightly.” Her husband added
A week ago another Indian couple from a neighboring village Chhattisgarh, named their newborn twins ‘Corona’ and ‘COVID’.
The couple, Preeti and Vinay Verma told the Press Trust of India the names Corona and COVID were chosen to symbolize triumph over hardship.
“The virus is dangerous and life-threatening but its outbreak made people focus on sanitation, hygiene and inculcate other good habits. Thus, we thought about these” Preeti Mother of the twins said.
